Jarilla de Sinaloa – CannaBioGen Reproduction

An Old Mexican Sativa Population Preserved from Rare Seed Stock

Jarilla de Sinaloa is a rare Mexican Sativa originating from the state of Sinaloa and preserved in seed form by CannaBioGen. This reproduction was made from old original seeds with the intention of maintaining the character and remaining diversity of this increasingly difficult-to-find Mexican line.

Eight plants were used for the reproduction, including three males. The plants were openly pollinated to preserve multiple family combinations rather than restricting the next generation to one single male or female selection. With old and limited seed stock, this broader approach helps protect the genetic depth of the population for future preservation and breeding work.

The aromatic profile is predominantly woody and dry, accompanied by warm herbal, earthy and lightly resinous notes. It represents a more traditional Mexican Sativa profile rather than the intensely sweet and artificial fruit aromas associated with many modern hybrids.

Its effect is positive, clear and uplifting. The experience carries an easy-going mental brightness that can improve mood while remaining functional and engaging. It is energetic without becoming excessively aggressive and has the warm, optimistic quality associated with well-preserved old Mexican Sativas.

Expect:

A rare old Mexican Sativa reproduction with woody, herbal aromas and a bright, positive effect. Openly pollinated with three males from a population of eight plants to preserve as much of the remaining Jarilla de Sinaloa diversity as possible.
