Preserving the Forgotten Diversity of Mexican Sativa

This line was created from a desire to preserve old Oaxacan genetics at a time when authentic Mexican Sativa populations are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

The project was never intended as a commercial breeding line. After collecting and preserving old Oaxacan seeds from different sources, including material from MysticFunk and my own collected seeds, the decision was made to combine the remaining diversity rather than allow these genetics to disappear.

The population consisted of Oaxacan Highland and Lowland expressions. From this broader genetic pool, the strongest individuals were selected: two males and three females were chosen and allowed to create the next generation.

The goal was preservation — maintaining the natural variation, character and spirit of old Mexican Sativa genetics.

The Highland influence contributes elegance, structure and traditional mountain Sativa traits, while the Lowland expressions add warmth, tropical character and diversity. Together they represent a broader picture of Oaxacan genetics than a single isolated selection could provide.

Aromatic profiles may range from tropical fruit and herbs to wood, spice, earth and classic Mexican incense tones.

The effect remains the central focus: positive, uplifting, creative and mentally clear. A traditional Sativa experience with the energetic character that made Mexican genetics famous.

Expect:

A preserved Oaxacan population combining Highland and Lowland expressions. Diverse phenotypes, authentic Mexican aromas and the uplifting, creative character of old-school Sativa genetics.

Created not for uniformity, but to protect genetic diversity and preserve a disappearing chapter of cannabis history.
